In a turn of events worthy of an Eastender’s script, soap star Jessie Wallace called off her wedding to catering boss Vince Morse hours before the nuptials were due to take place at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond. A number of guests who hadn’t been contacted in time had to be turned away from the venue when they arrived, oblivious to the drama which had unfolded.
The Eastenders actress had reportedly been planning to jilt her groom at the later after discovering he’d sent explicit message to an ex partner in the run up to their big day. However the 39-year-old decided to cancel the wedding outright instead of going through with her plan to stand up 50-year-old Morse.
The lavish wedding was said to have cost £300,000 with couple also signed up with a glossy magazine for a full spread of the big day.
The mother-of-one has since threatened her now ex-fiancé with the police after he bombarded her with phone calls and messages in a desperate attempt to win her back. However Jessie wants to sever all ties with the catering company boss after the recent events.
Another row has also reportedly broken out between the former love birds over who gets the items from the wedding that never was. Both the bride and groom are arguing over who should get the £18,000 worth of champagne, while Jessie has already taken delivery of the mountain of cupcakes and £3,500 worth of flowers which should have been used for the wedding.
